This sweetie came to visit me yesterday and he was so good to us to start out with. He was quite funny in his sleep though as every time I would pose his hands he would move his feet. When I would pose his feet he would move his hands. It was hilarious. He was a squirmy little thing too and kept snuggling down into the fur in the basket. So very cute!!! The power went out in the middle of our session too! Why? I have no idea. But it came back on quickly and we were able to continue our session. After that this lil’ man wasnt having so much to do with the whole sleepy baby thing. Eventually we got him to drift back off for a few family images. He was such a trooper and oh so sweet. Just wanted to snuggle with him!

Since I’m known mostly for my newborn and baby work, it’s rare that I get the opportunity to work with ”big kids”. But I did just that and we had a blast playing around and capturing them at this age. So very different when working with older kids when you are used to babies. Lights all have to be higher, backgrounds have to be higher and of course they listen (for the most part) LOL!
So a cute shot of bro and sis… 
they both play tennis so we did a shot of them together with their rackets…. 
and then we JUMPED!!! How fun is this??

One of my Little Things Baby Plan babies! It’s been a hoot watching him grown up…. we did his newborn session, his 4 months and here he is at 8 months! Such a pleasure to work with him and his family! Cannot wait for that 1 year session - we will be running to keep up with the ‘lil man for sure!! He is quite fast already!

I just have to say that these two are cookin’ up some beautiful baby girls in there!!! Yep.. girlS as in more than one. This couple is expecting twin girls soon and are so excited!! You can just see the love for each other and the love they share for their unborn girls too. I had such a great time working with them in capturing this oh so special time in their lives - because it’s going to turn upside down (in a good way) in a month or so!

Isn’s she precious? I could eat her up! Hard to believe it’s been a full year since we did her newborn session. Seems that time just flies by faster and faster these days.

Mommy to be … or daddy to be.. of a different sort

Last weekend we headed outdoors to do a little yard work: trimming back the bushes, pulling weeds, planting new flowers. We were about finished and I realized we had forgotten to cut back the oak tree in the front yard. So I grabbed the clippers and headed over only to find a new mommy to be perched happily in her nest. So I threw the clippers down and ran for the camera of course!
Then we looked up this particular bird in our Florida bird book. It is apparently a mourning dove and these birds mate for life. Dad guards the nest during the day and mom at night (I think I have that right - might be the other way around so I guess this shot is of daddy to be). Interesting information. Just thought I would share.
Nest is too high for me to get a shot of the eggs and I don’t want to disturb too much (had a long lens on the camera to get this shot so I didn’t get too close). If I see babies soon I’ll be sure to grab a shot and share!
