yes - technically I am still on “vacation” until the 4th. BUT I always leave room for those new little blessings that arrive during my vacation time around the holidays 
This sweetie made his appearance right before Christmas and we quickly brought him in for his first portrait session - but he had other plans that day :) So right after Christmas he came back in for take two. Just happens from time to time that little ones have bad days (like we all do) and he was a much happier fellow on day 2. See???!!! Isnt he the cutest??

Hard to beleive a whole year has gone by since I first met this family with their new little bundle. Really does seem just like yesterday. Time has really flown by this past year, hasnt it?? WOW!!!
This little guy is about to celebrate his first birthday! So excited!!!

Updating with a slightly new look has been in the works for quite some time. Leave it to me to originally decide to do the unveiling all in one day and during the holiday rush - HA! Well - as you can see it didn’t happen. But it is ready to go and in the next week or so you will slowly begin to see some very slight changes. The logo has a few new colors, we’ll have a new background and a few other odds and ends that need updating. So keep your eyes open and next time you check back you may just see something a little different! Please be patient with me as often things do not go as planned and something may go “wonky” now and again. If you see something that doesn’t look quite right or broken links please feel free to shoot me an email and let me know! I will greatly appreciate it. Now off to update the first on the list - the splash page!!!

Sweet Baby Boy | {Jacksonville baby portraits}

I have to admit that after mom, dad, baby and big sister left I was worried about what I’d find on the cards as I downloaded. This 4 month age is quite difficult from a photography perspective - sweet and cute as a button but smiles are usually only for mom and dad (and other family members they recognize) and they run out of “steam” so very fast at this age.
BUT!! Come on you knew there was a but coming…
As I began to download the cards I was watching since our session didn’t exactly go as planned (of course when do they??). I would see one and go “Oh - I love that one” and “OH MY GOSH.. look at this sweet face” and “EEEEK that tongue” and then I’d laugh hard. So in the end I am over the moon excited to share these on the blog as a peek for mom and dad. We also had big sister jump in for a few which worked out perfectly since baby boy here decided to take a power nap in the middle of the session LOL!
SO enjoy the peek mom and dad! We captured some awesome stuff!!!
This one makes me smile.. it’s as if he’s saying “OMG! There’s those toe things I’ve been trying to get at for weeks!”

And well… I think this one speaks for itself and I am TOTALLY in love with it!!!

This sweet couple - along with their first born son - are anxiously awaiting the arrival of one boy… and one girl… YEP! TWINS!!! So exciting! I get so excited when clients are expecting and even double so this time for good reason… b/c in a few short weeks I get to play!!! :) Big brother to be wasn’t so much into portrait day but we were able to snag one image of him with mom and dad and babies on the way. Then he got to go spend some quality time with just dad while mom and I chatted about the babies, life and had a great time capturing this oh so special time before the little ones arrive!

I have been photographing this family since I first began Nitz Photography back in 2004. At the time they only had one little boy and I remember to this day his very first portrait session with me and the fact that we had to do the portrait session with my son’s Bob the Builder toys because he was just infatuated with them! (they were super cute if I do say so myself but I’ve come a long way since then). They then welcomed their second child - a girl - to the family a couple of years later and I was fortunate enough to have been able to capture her first portraits - ever - and as she grew too. Guess what? They just welcomed their third baby to the family last week - a little boy - and I feel so overwhelmingly thankful and honored that they have chosen me to capture his first portraits as well! Thank you so much for allowing me into your family, for letting me watch your children grow and for trusting me to capture those precious moments in your lives! I look forward to watching this lil’ peanut grow too!

You may recognize this little one from our first session together… and now it’s already time for his second session on the Little Things Plan. I was so excited to see him!!! WE had a great time and yep.. that tongue is still out there. SO CUTE! Tongue goes out every time he smiles. Just cracks me up and I adore it!
