You know I love them when they are fresh and new!!! I was so excited when mom and dad sent me an email from the hospital to let me know that their lil’ man had arrived!!! Game plan thrown into action and we were able to get this little guy in for his first portrait session at 5 days new! How fun!!! Gotta love it!

And I’m kinda in this new “bright colors” phase right now. Can you tell?

So I’m sitting here tonight - and it’s really tomorrow already - and working on editing some client images like I always do. Photoshop is doing it’s thing in the background to size a bunch of images for the slideshow presentation and I start looking through some old files on the computer and doing a little “cleaning up” when I run across some images I did of the boys - gosh I didn’t look at the date but I want to say at least 4 months ago - and I never touched them. Bad me.
So once PhotoShop was done doing it’s thing I took a little 5 minute break from the cutie babies I was working on and edited this image of my oldest. He’s REALLY into soccer these days and getting quite good at it too. Learned how to do some weird trick with his feet to cause the ball to flip up behind him and over his head and then he kicks repeatedly in the air. Ok.. he thinks he’s greater than sliced bread right now but it’s good for his self esteem. LOL! He’s just so darn cute.
Had to share this image quickly with you all. I’m so proud of him and his accomplishments - not only in soccer but in school and in life.

So behind so going to make this short and sweet just so mom and dad can get a quick peek!

The Portrait Registry | {Jacksonville newborn photography}

Did you know we have a Portrait Registry??
I’m sure everyone is aware of what a baby registry is all about. A couple is expecting, they go to their favorite store and walk around with a little machine thing and zap all their favorite things they need or want for their upcoming little bundle of love. Family and friends can peek at that registry and hopefully purchase one of those items that is listed. SO what happens when the “necessities” are taken care of and what mom and dad really want are those priceless newborn portraits?? That is where the Portrait Registry comes into play!
So how does it work? … It’s quite simple really. If you are expecting and have a session booked with Nitz Photography for your little one we can set up a portrait registry for you so that friends and family can contribute. Friends and family can then go to the specified location, look up by your name, and choose a $$ amount to contribute to your registry. Then when you come in for baby’s portrait ordering session you will have a “credit” to use up. Just think Gift Certificate but on a more updated scale. It’s great! Mom and dad get great portraits of their new little love and you’ve given them a gift that will be treasured for a lifetime. For more information or to set up one for yourself just give me a call 904.472.7060.
This is one of the little guys whose parents created a portrait registry for his newborn portraits!!! Isn’t he adorable?? I’m sure you’ve seen his images in the post below as well but here is one more that we did with some brighter colors for some fun! If you recognize this peanut and would like to contribute to his registry click here - then search by mom and dad’s last name

Just like family | {St. Augustine newborn portraits}

I don’t think I’ve ever really said much about this - but my clients are like family to me. Your kids are my kids. Your family is my family. And sometimes your family extends out to your grown sisters and then they start a family of their own and my family grows too!!!
I was SO THRILLED when a wonderful client and friend informed me that her sister was to be married. Then… I was told she was expecting and of course my heart skipped a beat! Their dreams come true and a new little bundle would make them complete and grow their family (along with mine) Their little bundle arrived a little ahead of schedule but just as perfect as can be. I’m beyond words and feel so honored that they have chosen me to capture their sweet little boy’s first portraits. And I know she’s probably on the blog every hour since her session hitting the refresh button (come on … you guys know you are)
So without further ado - meet this little angel… with his daddy (b/c it was too sweet for me to hold back from sharing) and of course the lil’ man himself.

The great outdoors | {Jacksonville Childrens Portraits}

It’s rare these days I hit the great outdoors for a portrait session. It was SO GREAT to get outside with the weather being as nice as it was over the weekend. We headed out to Alpine Groves and had a wonderful time enjoying the cooler temperatures (although that wind coming off the river was a bit brutal) and just having fun…
Just a couple of one of the sessions over the weekend…

This sweet family came to visit me today. SO funny because when she called to book we discovered we live in the same neighborhood but have never met. Small world (or rather large neighborhood I guess)
We had a great time and man could this lil’ guy MOVE! He was quick but I was quicker for the most part. Haven’t had one that moved this fast in a long time! We were able to capture some great family portraits for their wall and holiday cards as well as some fun stuff (see my bucket?? I haven’t used my buckets in a while… it was fun to pull them back out again) of lil’ man!
It was great meeting you today ‘G’ Family! Enjoy your peek and I’ll get to working on the rest so we can get together next week!
