This lil’ peanut came to visit me this week and WOW, isn’t he just the cutest??
Typically we do our newborn sessions between 5 and 8 days of age; however, we missed the window of opportunity with this lil’ guy and to be honest I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to pull it off since he was going on 2 months old. It’s just such a hard age to work with since they are not too curly and are not quite able to hold up their heads unsupported. But he calmed my fears with his easy going attitude and even drifted off to sleep for a bit (and stayed that way too through a few moves which is quite unusual). We got some awesome images and I’m so excited to share this peek with mom and dad!!! We’ll see you both soon at our ordering session!

I’m so excited - it’s been in the works for a while now and honestly it was supposed to be finished and ready to go by our 5th anniversary this last May but things got crazy (yeah, life happened) and it didn’t get finished. BUT as a heads up the website, blog and all things connected will be gettinga slight face lift coming soon! Nothing major really but just some updates to give it some “oopf” if you will. I’m so excited I had to share… it was going to just be a surprise but alas my brain could not contain my excitement any more!!! Hoping to have it all together soon and most likely you’ll begin to see slight changes here and there in a couple of weeks!! WHOO HOOO!!!

… and I had a session scheduled this morning but we needed to reschedule. Which left me the morning to work on some editing, ordering and all those other fun things I do after you leave the studio :) I’m editing this morning (well, afternoon now) and I ran across this image. There is just something about it that really just makes me giggle. I LOVE baby yawns!!!! So I had to take a moment to share this family image with baby caught in the middle of a big ‘ol YAWN!!!!!

I’ve said it once (ok, maybe a thousand times) and I’ll say it again. I LOVE newborns!!! Just so sweet, fresh, new and ready for the world. Sometimes they like their new world so much they don’t like to drift off to sleep!! But a little patience will go a long way and eventually I win.. er.. I mean.. they finally slumber peacefully. 
This sweet peanut happens to be the newest addition to the family of a long lost friend. I can thank Facebook for that. I have not seen him in many years and we found each other on FB!! Gotta love that! He and his wife were expecting and I was lucky enough to be chosen to capture little B’s first year of life as he is the newest member of our Little Things Baby Plan. It was so great to see my friend today, meet his beautiful wife and of course lil’ ‘B’ here.

LOVE this sweet little girl that came in to visit me this past weekend. Mom and Dad have her signed up for our Little Things Baby Plan and this is her second session with me on her plan. I love capturing these milestones of these little ones!!! We had the best time and even got a couple of family pictures as well as a couple of big brother and big sister too. But so many cute ones and I cannot share them all on a sneak peek ;)

I have been photographing this little one since she was a newborn. It’s almost like she’s one of my own now!! She turned 3 a bit ago and mom and dad brought her in for her annual portrait session as well as some holiday fun stuff! We had a blast! I cannot express the joy I feel when I get to watch these little ones grow up right before my eyes. She’s changed so much since last year - talking, having conversations, a little less running away LOL! If you are familiar with the studio and the sample images on the wall - this lil’ one is the same girl that is pictured on the wall above the computer holding the sunflowers. Hard to believe isn’t it?? She had no hair then!!!

Yep - this lovely mom and handsome dad to be are expecting twins in the near future. Two girls too! I’m So excited as it’s been quite some time since I’ve had the honor and privilege of photographing newborn twins. And since mom and dad signed the girls up for our Little Things Baby Plan I get to watch them grow too! That makes my heart smile!!!

Pretty Little Butterfly

Last weekend we headed over to Gainesville to visit some friends. While we were there they took us to the museum where we were able to walk around with some butterflies. I was in HEAVEN. Of course the kids were ready to go way before I was as I could have stayed in that habitat for hours just snapping away. I finally sat down tonight to pull the images off the card and this is one of the first ones that caught my eye. I thought I would share it since I’ve been neglecting the blog lately (I’m so bad… I need to do better… )
So meet this pretty little guy. Just GORGEOUS!!! I have lots of shots of different butterflies that I’ll be sharing as I find some time to get them edited and put up here and in a gallery on the Facebook acct. ENJOY!!!!!
