I’ve been sitting here tonight thinking as I was going through my Facebook pages and “visiting” with friends that I don’t share enough on the blog. Of course I share specials and definitely sneak peeks and all kinds of business related stuff and it occurred to me that - well - it’s BORING! (yes, I see you all nodding your heads together)

So let me tell you about my week. Let’s actually start on Saturday because good stuff happened on Saturday. Soccer is back in full swing and both of my boys had games that day. Now granted the little man really isnt all that into it. But by golly he was this week. He was all over the place and after that ball. It was great to watch him get excited, his expressions on his face as he would kick the ball and the REALLY funny faces he made when someone would get the ball from him. He plays mostly defense but every once in a while he forgets that and tries to run down with the ball forgetting he has a team to work with (Hey - he’s 7 so they let him). Then comes along game #2. Mathew has played a lot of defense and he’s pretty good at it. But this season coach decided to put him up front as a forward. Guess what? HE SCORED! Of course I was a proud mama and yes I almost cried I was so excited for him. The look of accomplishment on his face was worth a thousand bucks. And for those of you asking no I didn’t have the camera in hand to get a shot of it. When I take the camera to the games I’m always too focused on getting “the shot” instead of just enjoying watching my boys play. So I leave it at home most days. Lesson learned. Maybe a video camera.

All in all it was a great weekend. Although me with no sunscreen now equals a very sunburned girl but I’m recovering nicely for now.

And tomorrow is Wednesday. Which means halfway through the week and halfway through until more soccer games and sunshine. I’ll remember to wear sunscreen this time around even though my husband told me I should last weekend but I didn’t listen. I will. I hurt.

On another note - since the blog is boring - I’m open for suggestions. Maybe a weekly question and answer deal? Photo related or not? I need to brainstorm but if you have something post it in the comment section here on the blog or email me directly and we’ll see if we can’t get something moving around here. I know I love the sneak peeks and all but we need some HAPPY!

Newborn Portraits - with big sister too!

This sweet little guy came to visit and along with him came big sister. I have to admit that working with a newborn and a 2 year old is hard work. 2 year olds on their own just have a mind OF their own as we all know. They are super sweet but they know what they want and there usually is not a whole lot we can do about it :) But we were able to capture this perfect moment between big sister and baby brother. Isn’t it precious? I think this has to be one of my all time favorite sibling shots of all time!

Little man was also one of those “wide awake” babies for a while but he was a pretty content wide awake baby. I was able to capture this image which we always do with a sleeping little one but he was a happy camper awake so we tried it. SO excited to have captured this shot!

New hats! (for this age anyway as I have one like it for older babies. It’s one of my favorites)

Sneak Peek - Little Things Plan Member

I met this sweet little darling a few months ago when he was a few weeks old. I know I’ve said it a thousand times but I’ll say it again - I just LOVE to watch these little ones grow up right before my eyes. Mr. E came in for his 4 month session and he’ll be back again when he learns to sit up and again at his first birthday! I cannot wait!! But for now I’m going to cherish this sweet time when he’s pushing up on those elbows and looking so adorable. Enjoy your peek mom and dad. We’ll see you soon.

I think he was trying to talk to me here. I’m not sure what he said but it must have been pretty important.

And I am LOVING this new hat I made. I need another on in a newborn size too! Making hats and photographing them with cutie patooties is just too much fun!

This little man came to visit and oh what fun we had! I love to watch these little ones grow. I first met this sweetie when he was only a week or so old. Here he is fresh and new!

Well look at him now. It’s funny he really has not changed much in his features. Sometimes these little ones come back for their next session and they’ve changed so much since their newborn session it’s hard to tell it’s the same baby. Not this little man. And he looks JUST like his daddy too!

Spring Portraits in the Park

The weather is warmer, the grass is greener, the flowers are blooming and the bees are buzzin’… PERFECT for going outdoors for a portrait session. We are tentatively scheduling them on Sunday (yes..
