Yep… more babies!

I just cannot believe the run of newborns lately… but this one is a GIRL!!!  :)  So many boys it was nice to have a little girl. We were hoping to be able to get some cute girly stuff created (tutu, pink hat, etc) but unfortunately little miss here wasn’t so much into it. In the end we did capture a few great ones - especially with daddy. Melts my heart!  Mom, hopefully you can make it back in next week and we can try for a few girly type images if she lets us… :)  But for now, here are a few that we were able to capture that I just adore.

It’s newborn after newborn around here… and they are all boys!!! Can you believe that?

This sweetie came to visit and was a pro at sleeping and curling. Just look at how perfect! I had so much fun playing (thank mom and dad for letting me play because we captured some of my all time favorite images during your session)

Limited Weekend sessions available!

Just wanted to let you all know that there are only 5 Saturdays left between now and the holiday cut off to schedule your sessions. Well, 5 Saturdays left that are open for booking that is….

Holiday cut off this year is Novemeber 15th. That is the last day we will schedule a shoot in order to get your prints and holiday cards back in time to address and mail them out to your friends and family.

If you are in need of a Saturday session before November 15th - for a family portrait session, child’s birthday session or for your holiday mini session, please call the studio ASAP to book. Once these Saturday’s are booked there are no more ;)

 



A fresh new little one

This little guy gave his mom and dad a little scare after he was born… then Fay decided to show up… we finally were able to get together! WHEW! I have to admit this little guy is one of the “biggest” little ones I’ve worked with. SO very long at 21.5 inches if my memory serves me right. I guess my guys were just such peanuts at 19 inches  :)

We had fun and he was a dream to work with. Slept most of the time, woke up to eat and drifted back off. We started out awake but he went to sleep all on his own on the beanbag ready for his portrait shoot. Such a sweet guy!

New hat!!! I whipped this little thing up in 30 minutes right before their session. I have to admit I’m proud of myself for that little trick. If you know me you know I love green! Now I need a brown one… something to do tonight while watching some TV.

And I think this is my favorite one from our session. Just adore it!!!!

Ok.. so you all are singing that song now, aren’t you?? Yeah.. me too.

But seriously… I had this great family that came in last week for a portrait session that mom had won from the silent auction at Wards Creek Elementary auction last year (PS - I’ll be donating again this year and I hear this year we are in October for the auction so keep your eyes and ears open if you have children that are at that school) So anyway, we’ve been trying to get them into the studio for quite some time now. ANd poor kid - someone ends up with something right before: busted lip, ER trips, illness, out of town… something. So we finally managed to get together. Now one wouldn’t think it would be a big deal… but we were dealing with 4 children. 3 boys and one girl to be exact. And we all know that it’s pretty challenging to get one kid to sit still for a moment - try 4 - and one of them a 2 year old. Need I say more?

BUT!!!!!!

See… I believe in miracles!

Just a note to everyone to bunker down, stay safe and keep dry for the next few days. If anyone needs anything please let me know and I’ll do what I can to help if you need it.

If you are expecting a sneak peek in the next few days we may end up having to push that out a bit. Those of you that are scheduled for Thursday and Friday - please check your email if you have not already. Most likely we will need to reschedule your sessions.  I’ll be making some phone calls tomorrow to touch base with those of you that are scheduled in the next few days. I think by Saturday we should be in the clear unless we have no power. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Holiday card suggestions

I am working hard at designing the holiday cards that will be available this year. As I do each year, I would love to hear your thoughts on what you might like to see for a your holiday card. Have an idea? Have a suggestion? Please leave a comment below with what you would like to have created and your name will be entered into a drawing for a complimentary holiday tree ornament!!! These things are very cool! And no I don’t have a picture yet because I still need to get my samples ordered. It’s on my to do list. But they are really neat! I promise!
