Got your attention, didn’t it???
I’ve had the privilege of meeting and partnering with a wonderful company called The Village Party Animalz! Sounds fun, doesn’t it? They are wonderful at planning, organizing, etc every type of party you can imagine from a child’s birthday party to a large corporate “shindig”. For the little kids (and us big kids alike) they also offer characters that can appear at your function: Batman, Cinderella, a REALLY cool chicken and clown.
Check them out at www.villagepartyanimalz.com Be sure to tell them hello from me!
They’ve also been added to my local small business listing that you can find on the right (it disappeared for a while. Don’t know what happened there but it’s back). Take a peek at the other wonderful small businesses I am proud to support. And if you have a small business, feel free to contact me about the details to add you business to the list!
When it comes to sneak peeks…

… and a newborn session especially… I have a hard time narrowing it down to share with mom and dad (as well as everyone else). It’s just so hard to pick a few to share when you have a session in which the images just speak to you. Alas I narrowed it down to these few to share but there are so many more that I cant wait to get started on editing.
Enjoy! Be sure to leave a comment below if you like as I love to hear what everyone is thinking. We’ll see you soon mom and dad! Congrats again on your new little bundle of love.
This is my most favorite “foot shot” I’ve even done.

LOOK! SQUISHY! Gotta love squishy!

And from a different perspective.

New hat! You all know I have a crazy thing for fun hats. I made this one a while ago and finally got to use it! Isnt it the cutest?

Jaguar fans????

AWWW… a sweet moment with the new family.

THE COOLEST PRODUCT
July 21, 2008 | Filed Under Misc | 6 Comments
I just got in a sample of the neatest, coolest most awesome product.
I have to walk out the door right now for the Grand Re-Opening for Homespun Gifts (hope to see you there) so I cant share a ton of details. I promise I’ll take pictures and share tomorrow!!! Leave me comment below and those that have left comments before I post the image samples will all receive a coupon to order one at 20% off!!!! OH they are awesome and I’m in LOVE!
and it’s still active … I didn’t get to take pictures today like I planned… so one more night if anyone else wants to leave a comment..
Sorry guys.. tried to get these uploaded last night but couldn’t get signed into the system to upload them. It was driving me crazy. So by 1AM I gave up and went to bed. Don’t know what the issue was but it’s back up and running fine now.
These are the newest and greatest thing. I’m in love! They are shadow gallery mounts. Your image is printed with the same high quality professional photo paper, textured (just like always)… but then it is coated and heat fused to a 3/8″ densely engineered substrate. The edges are then beveled (come in black or white bevel) and it then permanently adhered to another lightweight substrate on the back about 2 inches from the edges. THis hidden standoff provides a floating appearance that adds dimension to any creation! Comes complete with hanging hardware as well so when you pick it up all you have to do it go home, hammer a nail or two and hang. No framing at all! GREAT STUFF!!!!
Here are the two I did of my own boys for our bathroom. Please excuse the bad photograhs LOL! I took these yesterday during the huge thunderstorm and really didnt have much light to work with.
These are the two.. one 16×16 and the other in 12×24

Closer look at one.

and the edge/back

I forgot to take a shot of the complete back before I hung them up! But I think you can get the idea. These will be available for almost all wall portraits (they only come in certain sizes and we cannot do custom sizes for these). It will also be an option for storyboards as well as Home Galleries! SO those of you that make a comment below will each get a coupon for 20% off either a wall portrait or storyboard using the Shadow Gallery Mount (sorry.. cant give you one on the Home Galleries… )

Christmas in July

Christmas??? Yep.. Christmas. I know it is blistering hot outside so the holidays are the last thing on your minds… but… before we know it school is going to start back up and hot on the tail of that is the holiday season. And this holiday season YOU need to have the best holiday card around!
This year we are doing things a bit differently:
Holiday mini sessions: These will be weekday sessions lasting approximately 30 minutes and will be geared towards capturing that perfect image for your holiday card. Whether this be one child, sibling shots or the whole family. Your investment includes your mini session, one box of flip flop holiday cards and a $150 print credit to use towards portraits, additional cards or upgrading your cards. All for only $300.
Group weekend mini sessions: Do you have a group of friends that would like to come in with you to do sessions for holiday cards? We’d need a minimum of 5 friends to gather together (plus yourself would make 6 total). We’ll get together on a Saturday at the studio to focus on capturing the perfect images for holiday cards. For only $175 per guest: includes their mini session, a gift print collection consisting of one 8×10, 2 5×7’s, a set of wallets (all prints from a single pose) and one box of flip flop holiday cards. (additional boxes and upgrades to different styles will be available) You would become my assistant for the day, no fees for you and a single box of holiday flip flop cards would be yours as a thank you for helping and bringing your friends . Interested? Call the studio. Only a limited number of days are available for these group mini sessions.
These great deals expire on August 9, 2008. So call the studio today to book your session. They may or may not appear again before the holidays.
The cut off date this year for booking holiday sessions is going to be November 15, 2008 in order to ensure we have plenty of time to get your portraits and cards back to you in time to address and get them to friends and family. Holiday sessions will not be scheduled after that date
The studio will still be open for maternity, newborn and any baby plan members who fall within that time frame.

Sharing something fun

Well… it’s beach weather. So off to the beach we go. However, I’ve been skeptical about heading out the beach only because my youngest is/was deathly afraid of the ocean since he was born! Last year by the end of the summer we did get him in the water a few times but then we went back once and he freaked again. So the thought of bringing him out there again for another scream fest wasn’t high on my list. But you know what? I love the beach for playtime. SO off we went. We lo and behold the child is now a fish… and a saltwater fish to boot. We even introduced him to the “boogie board” and he’s been in heaven ever since. So I thought I would share a couple images I captured of him out there doing his thing. Along with some “mommy” type fun pictures because if you know me you know I cant go anywhere or do anything without some sort of magical portrait taking going on.
This is one we’ll be printing and hanging to decorate his room. I’m thinking 20×40 but wish I could go just a tad longer. The largest my lab prints and mounts a regular print is 40 inches… and yes I’m searching for a lab that will print larger before I order this one.

Then I had to get both my boys together for one

Then just some of him playing in the waves on the board from different angles. He had fun.. I had fun… big brother had fun (havnt edited those images yet but they are funny because he wiped out with one big wave. It was great and I captured it all - although you cant see anything but his foot in one)

Seriously intense orange sunset going on!!

And last but not list the first one of him running out there.

Enjoy!!! Don’t forget you can leave comments below

Guess what I’ll be doing in September?

I was recently contacted by a national photography chain that has a contract with Pottery Barn Kids and asked to represent them at a local event. I’ve accepted!
So on September 24-26th I’ll be at the local Pottery Barn Kids doing mini sessions in the store! How fun is that? I feel so honored that they took the time to research and then choose me to contact to represent them in the Jacksonville area. I don’t know ALL of the details just yet but I’m sure the PBK store does!!!!
I’m so excited I just had to share with you all!
More little girls!

I swear it comes in waves…all girls…then all boys… funny how that works.
This little sweetie came in last week. I’ve photographed her big brother at his first and second birthdays and I got the privilege of photographing her at her first birthday. I love watching the little ones grow! I love watching families grow too!
So here’s a little sneak peek for mom and dad… we’ll see you soon!
I’m loving my new wall for little girl portraits. So very soft and sweet!

She brought her favorite bear in to have portraits taken with. Kind of hard to see the bear in this image but it sure did make her flash that big smile.

hehe.. new basket. If you know me you know I have more baskets than anyone around. LOVE my baskets!

And the tongue… who could resist this little face with the tongue??

And of course without the tongue. I think this last one is one of my favorite portraits of her little face.
