a “big kid”

OK.. so most of the clients that I have are children… usually newborns and babies with the occasional older child. I love it. But it’s also fun when I get to work with grown ups too.
This lovely lady just recently had some dental work completed (Dr. Jason D. Lewis - click here for his website) and she just looks marvelous! Don’t you think?
OK.. so she’s not really a “big kid” but we did have fun during our mini session we did. So if you are in need of headshots for your business card, your website or your new book just give me a call. If you need some dental work done I’ll leave that to Dr. Lewis and staff.
A squishy!

OH how I love it when they come in all little, curly and squishy. Although she was not so happy about it at first and really wanted to look around to check things out. We eventually managed to get her to drift off to dream land. First time parents and I was so proud of dad! It’s rare I get a new dad in here that is so comfortable holding his new little one! WAY TO GO DAD! Proud of mom too… she did a great job as well but we all know us moms just usually have a little more natural ability thrown in there 
This couple was great to work with - thanks guys for making my job so much fun! Congrats on your newest addition and enjoy your sneak peek. We’ll see you soon.

It’s that time of year again! My nephew’s birthday! I still cant get over how fast these kids grow. Why cant they just slow down a little bit? HUH? Anybody have a time machine? I need to go back in time!

and of course a couple of my niece. We really were not planning on doing a session for her but you know I had to get a few of her. She’s getting so big too. Losing that “baby” look to her as well and looking like a big girl now. *SIGH*

WELCOME to the NEW BLOG! You like the look? I’m so excited because I can now host the blog on my OWN and not need to rely on a third party to host it for me. Often times it would time out, get stuck or just plain wouldnt be available and now those things will not happen (knock on wood because everytime I say something like that guess what happens?)
So to celebrate this new look and new blog we are going to hold a little contest. You see below where you can add comments? Just leave me a comment… say hi, tell me what you are doing, tell me what you think about the new look of the blog. Be sure you sign your name. We’ll leave it through next Friday - May 9, 2008 and from those comments I will randomly select one (maybe two) people to win something… hmm… what should that be? Have a suggestion? First time around this little one wasn’t quite so happy to be here. We think she was just teething so badly that she was not a happy camper. While we did get a few images of her I wasn’t thrilled with the amount we got so we brought her back in for another little shoot. I am so glad we did! We captured so many expressions, faces and images that mom you are going to have a field day figuring out which ones to hang where in your home. But for now here are just a few that I’ve grabbed to quickly edit! Rest are soon to follow.

Every once in a while I have this vision… inspired by an ad I saw in a magazine, on TV or by something that a fellow friend photographer did and I loved and want to put my own spin on it. Well… I had a vision.
I love relationship images… especially relationships images with brand new moms and dads with their brand new little life. And I would really love to do some and have some on the website so that others can see exactly what is in my head when I begin to describe it.
SO… I’m putting a call out to moms and dads to be! I’m looking for a mom to be and dad to be that are willing to do some skin on skin relationship style portraits when baby arrives. Looking for a mom that has kept herself fit and a dad with some muscular arms. We’ll bring you in immediately after baby is born (no more than 2 weeks old) and do a Complimentary newborn session with a signed model release as well as do images of the three of you. At this time I’m not doing older siblings.
