I have the flu… I think… or some unknown weird knock me off my feet illness.
We will have to cut our stalk the blog contest short and today is the last day. There were about 6 people that "caught" me yesterday that I will honor even though I was so sick I couldn’t stand up… I’ll go through and see who was first when I get back on my feet.

In search of

I am in search of some new "stuff". In particular little knit type hats, beanies, etc as well as any sweater’s with hats and that sort of thing. Very willing to trade in portraits if your little one has outgrown such things 
If you have anything you can part with please give me a call so we can chat. Of if you happen to see anything while out shopping, please call me or email me with that too. I don’t get to go out shopping that much these days. Boys don’t seem to like shopping for some reason…..

A new storyboard design!

I’m excited because I’ve had this in mind for quite some time but just had not found the time to sit and actually design it! Well.. it’s here!
Introducing the Sweet 16 Storyboard!
This storyboard is sized at 20×20 and is perfect for all of those sweet little faces your child makes. It would also make a perfect storyboard to showcase all those little things about your newborn too (little feet, little hands, etc)
Be sure to ask about doing a Sweet 16 storyboard at your next session… ! I can see this perfectly above a changing table or crib in baby’s room, in a hallway or just about anywhere!
Rascal Flatt’n all night long!

Yep.. that is what I did last night. We hit the Rascal Flatts concert and let me tell you that was the MOST AWESOME thing ever! I’ve been to a handful of concerts in my time but this was the best one I have ever seen! If you are a fan and have a chance to go.. GO!
We brought both our boys with us. Mathew is a HUGE fan. He is always walking around the house singing along with his MP3 player. It’s hilarious because he hears the music, we don’t… all we hear is him singing. I really need to get that on video. Jason.. well, he loves the music too and knows a few songs and lyrics but he was ready to go home about half way through. A VERY late night for 2 little boys but they sure did have a great time.
SO.. someone won a free session because we got home way to late and I didn’t remember to post before I left. OOOPS!
Easter Portraits

Well, I wasn’t going to do this because last year there really was not much interest. But this year I do have interest so I figure I’d do a poll and see just how many people were interested.
The idea is to create a small set (similar to that of the Huck Finn last year) with little ducks and maybe a rabbit. These would NOT be real animals for the safety sake of the animals. I certainly wouldn’t want any of them to accidentally be harmed nor would I want the animals to be frightened and possibly injure a child. Not to mention where these animals would find a home after the shoot. But they do LOOK real. So we’ll do up a small set with the animals and we’ll do mini sessions similar to the LE series.

Well, yep.. I goofed again and I didn’t blog yesterday! I had quite a few people call me out on it but only the first person that emails me gets the free session. Keep stalkin’ the blog though.. I am quite positive I WILL miss another day or two before the end of the month.
And for fun! Today I decided I wanted to take some pictures of my boys and some flowers. Yes, yes… I know.. boys and flowers don’t usually go well together but I had this vision. I really wanted a great shot of them and then make note cards out of them to give to my mom for Mother’s Day (great idea, huh? You want some? Of course with your kids on them?) So we attempted a shoot. What I learned from today.
1. My kids REALLY DISLIKE having pictures made but even so the lil’ one still tugs at my heartstrings when I finally see the images. He’s such a lil’ snot during the session though. I swear. If there were a video of me doing a shoot with my own kids you would laugh. I resort to bribery!
2. My oldest is getting WAY too old and I really don’t like it. Why does he have to grow up so fast?
3. 9 year old boys and flowers might sound like a great idea but to be honest it’s a little weird with him alone.
BUT the one of them together is GREAT!
Then look at this.. maybe they do actually love each other.. a little bit??
And then some of my lil’ guy with the flowers. He decided to stop throwing his "I don’t wanna hissy fit" and cooperate a bit doing his own posing. It was hilarious! But man I got some great shots.
And one of my oldest.. but as you can see… not quite right… cute.. but he’s just too old for flowers. Hopefully his friends don’t see this and give him a hard time. Don’t ask what’s up with his hair. He slicked it down b/c he thought it looked better that way. HA!

I did get a couple of great face shots to hang up though. I was hoping to get these at Christmas but after the holiday card photos they were just D-O-N-E and I didn’t push it. So I finally got some cute face shots to replace the older ones in my living room. Yes.. I replace them. I know.. it’s shocking.
And between these two I cant decide.. soft smile or teeth smile. What do you all think? Leave a comment below if you want. I’d greatly appreciate it.

If you read yesterday’s post about the weather and how I was hoping today was going to be like the weekend … well.. as you all know THAT didn’t happen and on top of it I think I have the sniffles. Not sure if it’s truly the sniffles or allergies. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow if it sticks or goes away.
Today was less than productive seeing as the weather was yuck and I wasn’t feeling 100%. So while I got some editing done I didn’t get some of the fun things planned. We did get to do a school project though.. oh yippee. Gotta love those school projects!
Part of today’s plan was to take some fun images of the flowers that have started blooming around here… weather didn’t cooperate much with that so it’s on my list of things to do this week.

Email issues… again

I got an email tonight from someone… basically she was sending me an email wondering why I had not responded to her first email. I never got it!
So for some reason my emails are wonky. I am getting some emails but apparently not others. Just wanted to put a little word out that if you ever email me and you don’t get a response from me within a day or two to definitely give me a call letting me know.
So if have have sent me an email in the past week and haven’t received a response, please either try again or give me a call ASAP.
What I did all weekend

Do you ever get behind on housework? For whatever reason? I mean not just behind on a load of laundry or two but REALLY behind on things that should have been done? That was me. Over the holidays I got busy… with business, with the kids, with the holiday… with life. And my poor house was painfully neglected. So all weekend long I spent doing some down hard and dirty cleaning. Pulled out the dishes from the cabinets and cleaned the shelves. Organized the pantry. Cleaned under beds. You know that kind of stuff that you only really do every so often? Maybe it was the weather or something. It sure was a beautiful weekend. The weather was perfect so I opened up the house, put my hair up in pigtails (yes.. I can see some of you laughing right now), put on some old clothes and just cleaned and organized for 2 whole days. I wasn’t the only one that enjoyed the weather though…
The kids are out of school again tomorrow so I’ll have another day to stay home and get some things done… although we do need to run some errands. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as warm and beautiful as today.

hehe.. I love it when we get to play with cake. I love it more when the babies like the cake too! This lil’ guy REALLY loved his cake. First time that I’ve never had a lot of cake all over the floor. He didn’t miss a bite.
I can see his thoughts: "Mom.. mom… are you really going to let me eat this? Is mom looking? SHHH.. I’m going to eat this cake!"
Yep.. that’s good stuff
