SUN!!! And nice warm but not too hot kinda sun! We couldn’t have asked for better weather! (third times a charm, right mom?)
We headed out to the beach and while the kids were not loving the idea of being out there for pictures we were able to capture some fun stuff with them!
And a wonderful family shot!
and one of mom and dad! WOW! I love this shot! It’s so rare that mom and dad will bring their kids in for a portrait and decide to get one of themselves as well. So much fun!
and my favorite b/c I love these types of shots. Hand in hand… what a great shot for Thanksgiving too. To be thankful for family!

Well… It’s certainly not perfect and not what I had envisioned… but at least we are all there. I happened to have my sister in law snap some of my crew while she was here and I was working on her family portrait and holiday portraits with my niece and nephew. This would be the end result! I guess it’s not too bad and it sure is nice to have something of all of us together…. figured I would share it with everyone.

Ok.. so those of you that know me and are "regulars" around my studio you know how attached I get to the kids. It is almost like they are extensions of my family… I’ve watched them grow, I watch their personalities blossom, I get to know who they really are and I get LOTS of hugs (I think that is the best part)
These two I have watched grow. I first met this little boy when he was 2ish. I cant say exactly when but I remember our session like it was yesterday… active 2 year old, running all over and full of energy. The only thing that would keep him still was to borrow my son’s Bob the Builder toys. So our first session was full of Bob, Wendy, Rolly, Muck and Lofty (if you have toddler boys you know exactly what I’m talking about). Then along came a baby sister and I was honored to be able to capture her first portraits. OH so sweet, so cute… I remember that session too but we’ll spare the details on that one. The rest is history. It’s been 3 years since I first met this family and they have become like my own family. But I didn’t realize how much until they came in for a session last week. I sit here looking at these images and I cry…look how grown up they both look! Yet look how sweet, young and innocent they still are. Yeah.. I need a tissue.

I know.. FINALLY.. right? This time of year gets kind of crazy so my apologies for it being half way through the month of Novemeber already and no photo contest! But here we are.
Please remember - in order to be fair to all of those that are entered - refrain from posting on boards such as myspace and the like. I dont mind sharing.. and encourage sharing of the link but keep it fair to others. Those that are found trying to cheat the system, etc will be disqualified.

Sneak peek for mom b/c I swore I would get these sneak peeks done for everyone by today!! I have one more session (you know you who are… ) and will get those up soon too!
For now… look at these two… are they not precious?? OK, so they wanted nothing to do with having their pictures taken together but apart they did fantastic! hmm.. reminds me of my own kids (although the boys are getting better b/c they are old enough to understand bribery.. I mean rewarding for good behavior)

… and big brother to be…
A beautiful mom to be and an adorable big brother to be came to visit this week. OH he was so cute! And just look at mom and how beautiful and glowing she is! Dad just returned from Iraq (THANK YOU TO THIS DAD FOR ALL OF HIS SACRIFICE) and I’m so thrilled will be here for the birth of this new baby boy!

I guess that comes with this time of year…. I’m running late on just about everything except getting everyone’s portraits edited and ordered. So the newsletter is late, the photo contest is late and my brain hurts. BUT it’s coming!!! I have quite a few images and sneak peeks that didn’t make the blog and I’ll post those soon… newsletter will go out next week and the photo contest will be up and running early next week as well.
