I have been wanting to do this shot since after Fall of last year. Just had yet to get a baby of the appropriate age to cooperate with me. WELL… in came this little angel and we got my shot! I’m so excited. I love it so much I even put it as the first image on the slideshow when you enter the website. I love portraits of babies! They are always so much fun!

This sweet one completed her first year baby plan this past week. I first met her when she was 6 months old and learning to sit up. See… isn’t she adorable??
Well.. she’s grown quite a bit over the year and now she’s a very active 18 month old and has the cutest curly hair!
I love this shot! I think it’s my favorite from our whole session. The crooked smile and the crooked hat along with those deep eyes. Just melts my heart!
It has been an honor and privilege to watch you grow this past year Miss "J".

For some unknown reason the link to vote on the photo contest died. I dont know what happened b/c I didnt touch it until I went to see who was winning just now and it doesnt work.. period. I have NO idea who was leading, who was second, etc. SO unfortunately we will have to start over. SOmething that is completely out of my control .. my apologies… So here it is again… I deleted the one below since it wasnt working anyway and we’ll try again.

There is nothing like a 2 year old to put things into perspective for you. I’m telling you I got a nice workout and I’m sure mom and dad did too. I think they left a bit frazzled from their session… did you not mom and dad? He kept us hoppin’ didnt he? But not worries because look at what we captured!!!
We captured a great family portrait! I cant wait to play with this image and some holiday cards for you.
And this one.. I think it’s my favorite from the session… that and about 3 or 4 other very sweet expressions from him.
And it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
and of course 2 year old humor… gotta love that!

I LOVE MY JOB!
I’ve always loved kids and working with them. Many of you probably don’t know that I started out my ideas and going to school to become an elementary school teacher. Went almost completely through the program and became pregnant with my first child. Well… I never went back to school after he was born to finish. I picked up the camera to begin to document his life and a passion was reborn. I’ve always had that passion to photograph and capture the things around me but it wasn’t until my son was born that my "vision" became clear to me. It was through a good friend at the time that Nitz Photography was born and I can honestly say it has been the best decision I have ever made. I enjoy my job so much. I love becoming a part of the families I photograph and watching their children grow. It’s such an honor that these families allow me into their lives to help them capture it.
This is one of those families. I photographed this mommy to be a couple of years ago when they were expecting their first baby boy and we captured his first few weeks of life and his milestones through his little 2 years. I wish I had those images still to share with you as he now has a new baby brother and if my memory serves me correctly they look exactly alike as newborns.
So welcome to the world little man!!! And thanks mom and dad for sharing your family with me.

Holiday Sessions

The newsletter will be going out tomorrow or day after but wanted to post a blurb here before it goes out so that all of you loyal blog stalkers … I mean readers… that havnt booked your holiday LE session can have a chance to do so before the rush. We have 2 days scheduled: Oct 20th and Nov 3rd. There are only a handful of times left with a few more for the Oct 20th than the Nov 3rd…. so if you havnt booked your holiday session yet hurry and do so. I expect after the newsletter goes out that the spaces will be completely filled!
