OH MY GOODNESS! I have 2 boys.. I have a niece and nephew.. I’ve had friends that have had babies and I’ve photographed many many newborns… but never ever have I seen a newborn smile this big while sleeping. OH it melts my heart!!! This one has got to go really big somewhere in your home mom and dad!

Dinner at Chilis

You know the restaurant… you probably have heard about St. Jude Children’s Hospital and research labs, etc. A WONDERFUL hospital that I hope none of you ever have to go to.
Next Monday August 24th go to Chilis for dinner. They will be donating their proceeds to St. Jude that day. I’ll be there.. will you?

New Life

No matter how many new little babies come through here is always amazes me. How tiny and perfect they are. I look at my own boys now and think back to when they were this little. It’s always so hard to remember them being this tiny… and to know that actually my boys were even smaller than most of the ones that come through the studio b/c my boys were born 4 weeks early. AHHH.. memories…
SO meet this new little life. He’s the grandson of the owner of Sweet Child of Mine. A cute little baby boutique up in the Julington Creek area (call me if you’d like directions to the store).. and the son to two wonderful parents. Congratulations to the whole family!
This little guy didnt sleep very much while he was here. But he was happy most of the time. Here is he just "chillin"
Notice how he has hold of his daddy’s thumb? AWWW!!!
Look at dad’s smile. Nothing warms my heart more that watching a new daddy with his little one.

and those silly grins… This guy was just cracking up with the giggles and couldnt stop. Then he got me going and I could hardly take a shot b/c I was laughing so hard. We had a great time.
Updated webpage and a challenge…

I just updated the web page with some new (and some not so new) images! Go see!!!
And for the challenge? I need images on the studio walls. I used to have some up and when I redecorated and painted the studio area I took them down. Well… it needs new ones and I’ve been putting it off. WHY? Because I have the hardest time deciding what images I want to put up. I always have my favorites from every session and say to myself I’m going to print that one for the wall but guess what happens?? The next person comes along and I have a new favorite. SO my challenge to you…. visit the website in any gallery you wish and leave a comment here about which image or images you think would look great on my wall and why. With all the submissions (plus maybe a few of my own personal favorites) we’ll hold a contest for the studio walls! Those that win will get something special! What? I honestly don’t know yet! I’ll have to think of something fun and exciting!

Buddy Walk 2007!!!!

Buddy Walk?? What’s a Buddy Walk you say???
The Buddy Walk is scheduled every year and is an event that benefits the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville. The DSAJ was created to provide individuals with Down Syndrome opportunities to develop their potential in a supportive family, professional and community environment. To educate us all. The Buddy Walk is one of the ways that we can help individuals with Down Syndrome.
Many of you know that my niece, Brianna, was born with Down Syndrome. It came as quite a shock when she was born as we didnt know prior to her birth. OH what a day. Emotional roller coaster doesn’t even begin to explain our feelings that day.. and I’m only the aunt!!
Brianna is such a blessing… just as all children are. She is perfectly perfect being exactly who she is and whom she was intended to be. She loves with all her heart and then some. The world today is so uneducated and it breaks my heart the way that some people look upon her. Yes, she is different. But aren’t we all? None of us are alike in any way.
I love her dearly. She’s my angel. My perfect angel. And I would be honored if you would participate in or donate to TEAM BRIANNA in Buddy Walk 2007. I will be there walking with pride with my family… and with my angel. If you would like to participate in the walk please let me know! I would love to meet up with you.
