Nitz Photography is very excited to announce

its first ever Fresh Faces Photo Contest.

I’m always looking for some fresh faces to add to my portfolio!So I thought it would be fun to hold a contest to see who my next Fresh Face is going to be! Do you think your child is model material (and the cutest ever)? Is he she photogenic, enjoys having their picture taken and is cooperative? Then keep reading for some details.

How does it work?

If you have a child between the ages of 6 months and 12 years of age and have not have a session with Tina in the past 6 months, you can enter. Submit a recent (non-professional) photo to tina@nitzphotography.com . Be sure to put FRESH FACES in the subject line. (at this time prints will not be accepted)
Entries close June 15, 2007 : midnight EST
All entries must include the child’s name, date of birth, and a valid contact email of parent or legal guardian (grandparents, you must have permission from parents to enter your grandchild No names will be publicly announced, except for the top 2 winners and only first names will be released). Also, if someone referred you to the contest that is a current client, please include their name so I can give them the proper thank you.
Twins and multiples may be entered together.
All submitted photos must be recent (within 4 weeks of submission)
Once entries close, a panel of professional photographers (not including myself) will narrow down the list to the Top 10 finalist. Those top 10 will be posted on the blog and be voted for by the PUBLIC.
All entrants must be subscribed to the newsletter (you can join the newsletter by entering your email address on the main page of my website)… newsletters only go out once a month and sometimes a special announcement is made via email contact.

04bw What does the winner receive?

There will be two (2) winning places. Grand prize and a runner up (based on total votes)

Grand Prize winner: Receives a complimentary studio session and a $100 print credit.
Second Place winner: Receives a $75 print credit.

By entering the contest you agree to allow Tina of Nitz Photography to have COMPLETE creative control over the session. What does this mean? This means that if you child is one of the winners Tina will work closely with you in choosing outfits, accessories, backgrounds, etc for your session in order. We may even meet at your home for outfit selection or Tina will purchase an outfit for your child to wear (of which you will get to keep).

That’s okay! We still need you! Just forward this information to all of your friends and if they are one of the winners you will receive a complimentary desktop storyboard at your next session! Be sure to tell your friends to put you down as their referral friend!

We encourage you to forward this information to your friends even if you are entering the contest as well; however there are a few quite notes that you (and they) will want to be aware of before entering. This is also known as the FINE PRINT

Child(ren) entered must not have been photographed by Nitz Photography within the past 6 calender months as of the date of contest entry.
One entry per child. (if you have more than one child you may enter them individually as separate contestants; however, the winning session will be limited to the winning child only)
Standard session policies apply including but not limited to $200 print order minimum, ordering session to be completed in person, and all sales are final. For a complete list of studio policies please contact Tina.
All entrants bust be subscribed to the Nitz Photography newsletter to qualify. This newsletter comes out once a month and tells of new happenings, upcoming events and often specials or coupons.
All photos submitted may be in color or in black and white and have been taken within the past 4 weeks of submission.
Submitted photos must NOT be from a professional photographer. We take no responsibility whatsoever for copyrighted materials submitted in this contest. By submitting copyrighted photographs into this contest you are accepting all legal repercussions that may arise from the owner of the copyright. Photos preciously taken by Nitz Photography are not eligible..
Entrants may be from anywhere; however, the winning entrant must be wiling to travel to the studio to complete the session.
Nitz Photography reserves the right to disqualify or deny entry to anyone at his or her discretion. This included any clients who are banned from booking because of copyright infringement, outstanding balances, etc.
Excessive repeated votes from one IP address may cause disqualification.
All complimentary items are contingent upon receipt of signed model release.. The purpose of this contest is to to acquire ?fresh faces? for our marketing and promotional materials. A signed model release is required for such use, and will be needed to receive complimentary items.
The Fresh Faces winners must book their session within 2 weeks of being names the winner.
In order to receive complementary session and print credits, the session date must be booked and completed before August 31, 2007.
Complimentary session MUST be of child who wins. NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Print credits will be applied to standard pricing only and may not be combined with any other offer. All sales are final.
The digital version of the photo you submit becomes property of Nitz Photography for purposes of promoting the Fresh Faces contest.. By entering this contest you are allowing Nitz Photography to post the submitted photo of your child in a public matter on blog, website or in display promoting the Fresh Face contest.
You agree to hold harmless Tina Nitz, Nitz Photography and all others associated with the contest or business, whether by participation or employment association.

Locks of Love

Have you heard of it?

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under the age of 18 that are suffering from long-term medical hair loss… It’s a fantastic organization. Click here to learn more

I had the privilege of working with this young lady this week. She has been working on growing her hair very long for the very reason to donate it to Locks of Love. Such a strong heart for a young girl. Such beauty inside and out.

I got a sneak peek at what her hair looks like now thanks to her mom and a camera phone! THANKS MOM! I cant wait to see her in person. But without further ado…. here are a few of my personal favorites from our "before" session.

A new little one…

Tutus and Teddybears

It’s official!! The very first Limited Edition Tutus and Teddy bears series is in the works. Dates are scheduled for June 30 to July 1st with the possibility of adding June 29th in there if we need some more space! Sessions will be 30 minutes, will include prints with the session and all for a discounted rate (pricing will be announced at a later date). Spaces will be limited and appointments will be required. So if you have a little girl between the ages of 6 months to around 8 years old mark off those dates!!! If I don’t already have an address for you and you would like an official postcard invitation please contact me via email with your address and I will be happy to mail one to you.

There’s a new scrapbook store in town!

Scrapbooks at St. Johns opened it’s doors recently! I had the privilege of meeting with the owner, Carie, this morning. We will be putting up a few prints for display and begin offering a few photography classes there as well. If you haven’t been and love to scrapbook, go take a peek! It’s full of fun goodies… put me in the mood to get all my stuff back out and do a page… I just wonder if I have any pictures to scrap?

The store is located just off of CR 210 and is behind the strip mall where McDonalds is located… if you need directions just give me a call.

Terrific Three Year Old

Three year olds are full of energy, arent they??? I swear someone should find some sort of way to bottle the energy and sell it to adults! Whomever can figure that one out will be a millionaire in no time!

This little guy was no exception… you might recognize him too
