Catching up, updates and school!

It’s been a while since I posted on the blog - my bad ;) Guess you could say I’ve been a little busy with summer coming to an end and school getting started. Seems like August has flown by - I blinked and it’s almost over. We did take a short vacation to visit family up in Michigan. Had a great time visiting with those we haven’t seen in forever, enjoying the weather, visiting the zoo and picking raspberries!! MMMMM good!!! There is nothing better than eating a raspberry right after it’s been picked. The boys had a blast too - we even braved the bees!!!

AND of course school started. Believe it or not I didn’t take any pictures of their first days of school. I know.. bad mom! But it’s been raining and I always do it outdoors in the same spot. Honestly this morning it wasn’t actually raining - just wet - and I forgot! LOL! So I might have to “fake it” next week and get a snapshot of them as we head out the door. That and the fact that they are never ready to go on time. Adjusting to this new wake up time is really getting to all of us! But I have a middle school kid now and I feel old. That’s all I have to say about that.

Schedule is filling up fast for those of you that have not booked your holiday sessions yet. September has some slight wiggle room in there, October a little bit more wiggle room but those dates are filling in fast! Don’t forget that our holiday cut off is November 13th (20th for orders). If you have had a session earlier this year and would like to use those images for your holiday cards please let me know! I’ll be happy to share our holiday cards with you!

I got SO busy yesterday that I forgot to blog about this one… funny thing is you all called anyway which I adore!! Thank you!! And oddly enough yesterday’s gift was so popular (even without you knowing about it first) that I am going to repeat the gift today (b/c honestly it’s better than the one I already had planned for today)

a set of 4 mini notepads. OH I love these things. I use them all the time!! Wonderful to tuck into your handbag or clip to the diaper bag for jotting down a quick note. Really comes in handy when someone rattles off a phone number and you need a place to keep it!

OH MY!!! Yep - more holiday stuff in the works!! Read through the following carefully as there will be a lot of info in this one blog post about hte various mini sessions.

Halloween Quick Takes

SO Popular last year I already have people calling asking if we are going to do it again… and YES WE ARE!!!! Details will come later but the date is set for October 30th (everyone should have their costumes by then) in the later afternoon time frame. I’ve been in Christmas mode for a week now so more details will arrive in August. But mark your calendars now as you don’t want to miss this.

Holiday Family Studio Mini Sessions

Our most popular mini sesssions of the year. You can do family or you can just do the kids… it’s up to you.

$385 (plus applicable tax) for your immediate family* (or just the kids)
Includes 30 mintues of portrait creation time in our home studio with whatever background matches your chosen clothing.
Online ordering will be available; however we recommend scheduling an in person ordering session.
Includes 2 boxes ( 48 total) of flip flop holiday cards (the flat front/back style) chosen from our many available designs (custom work will incur a fee - upgrade to trifold holiday cards for only $50 more).
Includes one 8×10, three 5×7’s and one set of wallets from your single favorite pose.
Includes one complimentary wallet sized keepsake album
One background choice only. Clothing changes will not be permitted. Small holiday props (Santa hats, christmas ornaments, etc will be available)
Available Dates for Holiday Family Studio Mini sessions can be scheduled Monday -Friday August 1 through October 1st. Two Saturdays will be available: September 4th and October 2nd - and will be on a first call first schedule basis.

Holiday Family Location Mini Sessions

Heading to the great outdoors! This year we will either be at Alpine Groves or Madarin Park. Honestly I’m still trying to decide where to shoot. But either locations produces wonderful images with greenery, sidewalks, old buildings and smiles! These location sessions can be for just the kids or for the family (immediate family only). These location mini sessions will be conducted on a first call first scheduled basis and will be on October 16, 2010 only.

LET IT SNOW!!! LET IT SNOW!!! LET IT SNOW!!!

OH HOW MUCH FUN these sessions will be!!!! We’ll have our gray background, our oversized red sleigh and SNOW!!!! Ok… not real snow but the fun stuff that kids like to throw around. These sessions will be full of giggles, grins and good times - no seriousness here. Fun, colorful outfits along with hats, scarves and mittens would be ideal. I will suggest that for these sessions we stay away from “formal” clothing. To be held on a first call first scheduled basis on October 22 and 23rd!! Yes… 2 days because I know these are going to be quite popular with all.

$195 (plus applicable tax)for your immediate family* (or just the kids) on our Let is Snow set in our studio on October 22nd or 23rd.
Includes 20 mintues of portrait creation time. Online ordering will be available for additional purchases.

12 days of Christmas {in July}

12-days-of-christmas … ok.. and part of August too but it starts in July so that counts, right??

Yes I know it’s 100 degrees out side and the holiday season - especially Christmas - is not the first thing you think of on a hot July day. BUT believe it or not the “holiday rush” begins when August hits and lasts through the end of the year. It’s always so rushed and crazy around here and we are super busy!! So, to get a head start on the “holiday rush” we are going to give away some fun things in the 12 Days of Christmas {in July} and help you plan ahead too as to not be left out this holiday season!

Starting today (July 26) and running 12 days (thru Friday August 6th) we will be “gifting” clients that book full studio sessions to be completed before Oct 31, 2010. It’s quite simple actually - each day I will post a new gift here on the blog. You call that day to book and retain your session (by 7PM) and the gift is yours! Of course there are a couple of rules.

You must call (904)472-7060 or email (tina@nitzphotography.com) the day the specific gift is announced to redeem it. You must do so by 7PM the day of and retain your session. Please do not send messages through Facebook (I don’t get those as quickly). I do have sessions during this time so leave a message if I don’t answer right away and I’ll call you back ASAP.
Sessions must be completed by Oct 31, 2010
This offer cannot be combined with any other offer, plan (including baby plan), promotion(including mini sessions) or coupon and has no cash value. All regular studio policies and procedures still apply. For new sessions only, cannot be applied to one already booked. Be sure to mention special when you book!!
There are 12 days of giveaways, but if you like what you see one day, book that day. Once the day is over, the special offer is too. You can not trade gifts. If you like the gift on a later date you cannot trade the one you already have.
Only one gift per household is permitted and may not be gifted to another.
