Out of town

Just a reminder that I’ll be heading out of town on Saturday for a week long working vacation (having fun with some friends but also meeting up with some other photogs to learn a bit too). It’s been a little on the crazy side around here with just being plain busy with sessions along with some things going on in my personal life that I have to deal with (like broken glasses that I had to go have redone that were not right when I got them so I had to go back and now I have to go on vacation with broken glasses)

SOO!!! No, I have not forgot about my promise to give away a whimsical frame but since I’m heading out of town I wont have time to implement the plan! It’s on my to do list for first thing when I get back. Yeah, I know… stringing you along to get one and I never posted. Life got a little crazy!! I sorry But someone WILL be getting one for free when I get back the week of the 13th.

If you are expecting your little one (or if your little one arrives earlier than planned) and I’m out of town go ahead and call anyway and leave me a message and I’ll be sure to call you back ASAP. I’ll be checking messages periodically while I’m gone so I don’t miss any new babies that arrive. We’ll plan on scheduling something the week of the 13th if your little one arrives while I’m gone. Still within that squishy age that is oh so important.

Gonna go finish up a slideshow, edit some pics, get some others ordered and package a few orders that came in this afternoon. Will I get it all done before I leave? I don’t know. Anyone taking bets??

Big smiles to start with! Just look at that sweet face? And OH MY does she ever look like her daddy (which I have to say I do not have any images of so you can compare so you’ll have to take my word on this one).

Such a sweetie and we got so many great images that I cannot narrow down which ones to sneak peek so I decided to just show one for now and that is the one with the biggest smile… I’ll probably come back and add more as I edit this week but I just couldn’t narrow down my choices to just a couple for a peek. I had 10!!! I cannot sneak peek 10! Ok, I can but then what fun would that be to spill all the fun secrets before the ordering session, huh? hehe.

So one for now.. more to come later.

Freshness | {Jacksonville newborn portraits}

I’m telling you I love working with these new itty bitty and fresh ones. So much life waiting to happen. Every time I hold one of these new little lives in my hands it honestly amazes me that 2 people can create such a perfect little person - the hopes, the dreams, the possibilities all right there in my hands.

This sweet family just welcomed their second son!!! I had the privilege of photographing their first born a couple years ago and was blessed with the privilege of capturing their second little boy! I love watching families grow. It makes my heart smile. Thanks for sharing your little man with me “J” family. Enjoy your sneak peek and we’ll see you at the end of the week. Call me if you need anything before then.

Those of you that have peeked into the storage closet in the studio know how many baskets I have so not one newborn, baby or child escapes without a shot or two in a basket.

I last photographed this sweet family a couple of years ago when they had 2 little ones. Mom called a couple of weeks ago and wanted some family portraits before they moved and I was happy to hear that they had added to their family!!!  Three kids ages 6, 4 and 18 months - lets say it was kinda chaotic around the studio for a couple of hours but boy did it pay off!!! Just look at what we captured mom and dad! I think this would be a GREAT image to use for a holiday card this year, don’t you?? 

You guys are a wonderful family and it was a pleasure to work with you again. I cannot wait to share the rest of the images with you next week!

A new Little Things Member | {Jacksonville Baby Portraits}

Have I mentioned I love my Little Things Plan members? I’m sure I have many times but I’m going to say it again. I LOVE MY LITTLE THINGS PLAN MEMBERS!!!!!  We have another new addition to our Little Things Plan - this sweetie pie! Isnt she the cutest with her big pink bow???

Bad News - and good news.

First the bad news b/c it’s bad for me but not for you. The computer I use for our ordering sessions died this week. :( 

The good news is I now have a “new” one (ok, so my husband put together a new one with some old drives, etc we had laying around the house I guess) but the best part is we now have THE MOST AWESOME ordering software to use during our ordering appointments. I’m telling you this thing ROCKS my world! We can quickly and easily sort your images into a yes, maybe and no pile (not that you want to put any in the no pile) as well as grab and compare images side by side. We can now turn and image to b/w right before your eyes. We can also create storyboards and books right before your eyes too! I’m telling you I’m so very excited!!!!

And our new frames - yes I was bad and didnt do the blog post about the free frame I promised. But only because I’ve been working on fixing a dead computer and getting all the info back into this new program that I haven’t had a chance. ACK! So next week - we’re going to have a little contest and the winner will receive one of our Whimsical Frames for FREE at their next portrait session. SO FUN!!!!

Another sweet, tiny little peanut!  You might recognize this mom and dad from their maternity portrait session - so in love with their new baby girl!!!

Meet this sweet little peanut. (you can see mom’s maternity images here).  She came in earlier this week but unfortunately was having a pretty awake and I don’t want to do anything kind of day. :)  So mom and dad brought her back in a day or two later and it was well worth the second drive out because she was a perfect little angel that day. Slept like a champ and pretty much let us do whatever we wanted to do!! I get so excited when they let me play! Big sister was here the first day so we were able to capture a few of big sis and little sis too!
