We worked this beautful familiy into the holiday schedule since their oldest doen’t live localy. I’m SO glad we did. What an awesome family portrait!!

…… it’s the sound of peace and quiet in the house!!!
Yes, the boys are back in school. I have to admit I was SO ready for them to go back to school. They were so “bored” and ready to go back themselves. In fact they were ready to go 20 minutes early this morning. Which is a VERY rare occurrence I assure you.
So as I sit here and think (because I can now without interuption) I am so excited about some upcoming events! The website will be NEW and along with it comes a contest. Launch date? Still undetermined but will be soon after I return from Colorado! Yep! I’ll be going again this year to play in the snow, spend some time with a great friend and maybe learn a thing or two since she’s also a photographer! We’ll be heading out Jan 14th and will return Jan 23rd! I’m SO excited! And of course I will post pictures!
Happy New Year all! Happy quiet house too if your kids have returned to school…. those of you in Clay county have one more day to snuggle with your little ones before they head back!

I am happy, proud and excited to be a part of this national model search that not only will determine the cutest kid in the Jacksonville area and the country but also raise money for a wonderful charity called Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (click link to learn about this wonderful organization!)
We are looking for children ages 18 months to 14 years to model for a portrait to be entered into the contest. The Jacksonville area winner will be welcomed to join us as THE model on March 5, 2009 for a special photographers seminar as well as entered into the national contest.
National contest winners will receive $5,000 US Savings Bond and a Canon G10 digital camera! Now how wonderful is THAT?
Nitz Photography studio winners will also receive prizes (to be announced at a later date) but we are hoping that we go all the way to win the nationals!!
Models Search Special:
$99 - which includes a mini model session one child*, a portrait package from your favorite pose (can be different from the one photographer chooses to submit to contest and consists of one 8×10, 2 5×7’s, and set of 8 wallets) and one image submitted to the national gallery. No obligation to purchase additional prints; however, special model search pricing will be available.
Finalists will be determined by online votes. Anyone may vote. Each vote is $1, and all proceeds from votes benefit the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.
Grand prize national winner will be determined from the 50 city finalists. Winners selected by photography and modeling industry experts. (National winner will be announced on May 1, 2009)

My kids and I have found this site (thanks to their teacher) and we have had SO much fun creating our snowflakes online. Best yet we get to have fun together, see the results without the MESS of making them from paper (YAY!)
