“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on file is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” ~ Aaron Siskind

WHO I AM

HI! This is me over there  ———————————————–>

This is the face behind Nitz Photography, LLC. I am a self-taught artist and mother of two boys – my inspiration and my heart. My passion has always been photography for as long as I can remember (and that’s been a while.. shhh). Nitz Photography was officially born in May of 2004 and as they say – the rest is histroy.

My goal for each session is to capture the personalities and uniqueness of your baby, child and/or family. You will likely hear me sing lullabies to your newborns and silly songs to your baby or toddler. I snuggle, I sit, I play and participate with the little ones to make them feel comfortable and happy. A portrait session is like a playdate for kids and a warm and welcomed break for new parents.

Think of a session with Tina as an experience that brings out the honest and real images that capture that precious newborn curl, the adorable smile on baby’s face that your home shots never seem to capture of that goofy grin that comes from playing peek-a-boo.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

WHAT I DO
We specialize in maternity, newborn, baby and children’s portraiture. Custom portraiture is a unique experience. There is no waiting in long lines or crowded rooms of strangers. It is not a quick session with a burn of a CD at the end and we send you on your way. Instead we strive to make each session a relaxing, personalized experience with the focus on you and most importantly, your child. Since we only schedule one session per day you can be assured that our attention is solely on the details of your session. Sessions are never rushed and leave plenty of time for you, your baby or child to take small breaks when needed. They typically last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. Longer for newborn sessions. Expect to have fun, to allow your child to have fun and to see Tina on the floor playing with your child. You will never hear Tina ask your child to “say cheese”. In fact you’ll hear her sing songs, act goofy and talk to your child while waiting patiently for the perfect time to snap the shutter to capture that timeless moment, genuine expression and all the little things you love about your child. Please take some time to view our galleries of recent images as well as scroll through our blog (you can choose specific categories if you wish) to view some images and memories we have helped various families create.

STYLE
My style is one that is simple so that we can focus the attention of your portrait on the faces, expressions, emotions and true essence of each individual and family we photograph. I truly believe that a portrait should not only help you remember what you child looked like, but help you remember whom they are. Which is why you will see very little props used in our portraits (of course we do use some chairs, baskets, hats and other fun items to add variety). My goal with each session is to capture the personality, emotion and true spirit of your child. The essence of whom they are at any particular stage in their life so that when you look back on your images in years to come you will remember those little things about your child – how tiny she was as a curled up newborn, those cute “rolls” that form as she’s learning to sit up, those eyes, those first steps, those toothless childhood grins, the way he’s not your “baby” anymore. To capture these moments, these little things, to freeze them in time to be remembered and cherished for a lifetime.

HOW IT WORKS

  • When to schedule:  We are typically booked 4-6 weeks in advance (sometimes more as we approach to holiday season. Newborn sessions are always conducted when baby is less than 2 weeks of age. It is imperative that you schedule your newborn portrait session before baby arrives to ensure availability on our calendar. Maternity sessions are always scheduled in conjunction with a newborn session and are conducted around the 34-36 week mark.  A retainer equal to your chosen session and/or plan is due upon booking and is non-refundable (but you can reschedule with a 48 hour notice).
  • I’ve booked… now what?:  Once you have officially booked your session you will receive a online Welcome Packet with much information to help you prepare for your session, directions tot he studio, a complete pricing/product guide as well as a link that will take you to our client agreement for you to digital sign. Then just sit back and wait for your session!
  • How to see and order your images:   Once your session is complete we will schedule an ordering session where you will return to the studio to view and order your portarits. It is during this time where we will view your images, narrow down your favorites, talk about your home, your ideas, your wall space, etc to have you walk away with the perfectly created package that fits your personal needs. We do this buy utilizing our various Portrait and Digital Collections that incorporate static products (such as albums, digital files, etc) with a “portrait credit”  to help you build the perfect package just for you.  24 hours prior to your scheduled ordering session your images will be available in an online slideshow presentation so that you can become aquainted with the images as well as share them with friends and family.
  • When do we get our ordered portraits and products?:  Please allow up to 3 weeks for your order to be completed, checked and ready to pick up. You will recieve an email and/or phone call to schedule a time to pick up your portraits.
